Ashiyana Foundation is a project under Sahej foundation – a registered charitable Trust under the Bombay Chartiable Trust act. All donations are tax-exempt under section 80G of the Income Tax Act, 1961.

All donations help cover both the operational costs of running our leadership programs as well as administrative costs of the organization.

VOLUNTEER WITH US

Volunteers are integral to our work at Ashiyana. 

Ashiyana works in closed institutions which means our children are completely cut off from the outside world. Our volunteer programs and volunteers are one way for us to bring the outside world inside and build the connections between the children and the society so that, when they are ready to step out, they are not stepping into an unfamiliar world.

At Ashiyana many projects are volunteer run, and we are supported by many amazing volunteers who are a core part of our team, they are artists, working professionals, students, home makers and much more who offer their gifts, presence, time and skills. Our volunteering opportunities range from spending time with children, taking workshops, creative session, documentation, spreading awareness, to event organisation, leading projects and mentoring children.

Ashiyana is a growing community of volunteers, team members, interns, partners and children who believe that change is possible, that to create a more peaceful world we need to sow more seeds of love, compassion, forgiveness and inner transformation.  We would be thrilled to have you join us on this journey of helping children change their life stories.

WORK WITH US

We look for team members who are reliable, willing to learn and grow, flexible, highly self-motivated, and have a good sense of humor. Internship opportunities include teaching, job placement, administrative support, policy and development research, documentation and more. PARTNER WITH US

Are you an organisation who has a special skill or service you’d like to offer. E.g. Mobile creches does an art activity every two weeks. If so, we’d love to collaborate with you.
